Eligibility
A candidate for Beneficiary Trustee shall be nominated by individuals who, as of the date of signing, were Beneficiaries.
“Beneficiary” means an Annuitant, Deferred Pensioner, or a Disabled Pensioner.
“Annuitant” means a retired firefighter receiving a retirement pension from a Participating Pension Fund.
“Deferred Pensioner” means a firefighter who has retired having accumulated enough creditable service to qualify for a pension under Article 4 of the Pension Code but who has not attained the required age for commencement of the pension.
“Disabled Pensioner” means a firefighter receiving a disability pension from a Participating Pension Fund.
“Participating Pension Fund” means any pension fund established pursuant to Article 4 of the Pension Code that has transferred investment assets to the Firefighters’ Pension Investment Fund.
Instructions
Each electronic signature must be accompanied by the following information from the signing individual:
- First and Last name;
- Home address (street address and city). Signatures not accompanied by at least a partial home address will not be accepted;
- Participating Pension Fund;
- Date of signature; and
- An attestation that the signature submitted is the signer’s own and that the information provided is true and correct.
